Rest Day

I started my morning with toast, PB, banana, and chia seeds sprinkled all over it.

Michael got home late after a volleyball game at church last night. We were thinking about maybe doing the early kickboxing class, but not on only 6 hours of sleep… so we’re planning on going tomorrow at 11:30AM.

The volleyball was the married guys vs. single guys. The single guys got demolished!

Anyways, since my legs were super sore, which I love, it was probably a good day to take it easy. Michael and I decided on walking Vanna to Starbucks instead.

I got a venti red eye! (only one add-shot though) with 2 pumps sugarfree hazelnut.

Vanna was embarrassed because when I talk to her, my voice gets all weirdly high and creepy.

Know what’s kinda cool? I am down about 2 pounds from two weeks ago.

I don’t usually weight myself very often, but I wanted to see how my body would respond to weightlifting. Joe warned me that my weight my stay the same since muscle is heavier than fat.

I’m so glad to have gained some muscle and I’m pretty sure I lost some fat. I can fit into smaller jeans! Hooray!

So ladies, don’t be scared to train and lift heavy. I need to keep eating (somewhat) clean and get good quality workouts to maximize on results. Hopefully, ya’ll won’t be scared to join me? That way, when I have a rockin’ body (haha, or.. slightly less gelatinous) around bikini-season, you won’t regret not having lifted with me. Okay??

I’m going to enjoy the rest of my rest day 🙂

  1. Hey Michelle,
I just started reading your blog, and I love it! You’ve inspired me to increase my exercise routine, by adding treadmill/hiking 3 days, in addition to tennis 3x/week and volleyball on Sundays. Gotta get my blood pressure under control, and stay healthy for my family!
