Trashed= the best way to describe my legs right now. They’re completely useless. Way worse than yesterday. Now I remember why I don’t do squats and deadlifts so often… it’s because my legs will be shredded and require a full 4 days of recovery before they are capable of doing anything.

I miss running. Hey, at least my leg muscles will be way stronger by the time I can run again. I’m thinking of doing one more crazy leg workout (squat into the 100’s!) next week before I work on just running faster.

Upcoming races:

March 4th: Jenny’s Light 10K

March 17th: Go Green St. Patrick’s Day Half Marathon

April 14th: Mercury Mine 12K (I have yet to sign up for it).

I had a great breakfast. Huge banana, Greek yogurt (blueberry), and extra crunchy Skippy peanut butter. I put about 1.5 tablespoons into the yogurt, so along with the blueberry jelly, it’s like having a PB&J.

I think I’m coming down with something. About halfway through, I suddenly have a tough time eating it all. Usually, it takes less than 4 minutes to put this away. Pray that I’m not getting the flu (symptoms: neck, shoulder, and back aches; weird sharp pain around my mastoid bone/mastoid process, which comes and goes; and dull headache all overs).

I had some coffee with my new favorite creamer:

I read that it’s good to put some kind of milk product, one with a bit of fat, into your coffee. Why? Because the milk molecules circle around the coffee molecules or something, and it stains your teeth less. <— this was the Jock translation. If you want the Intellect translation, you’re going to have to look elsewhere.

Just don’t put a quarter cup of it. I put about a tablespoon. Delicious.

Michael had some kind of crazy back-to-back-to-back leg-trashing sessions yesterday, so we both hobbled out the door and got to give Vanna a very slow walk.

She was super ansty the whole time, wanting to pick up the pace. Not today, friend. We gonna take it super chill.

We went to a nearby park so she could run around a tiny bit.

It has been a long time since coming here, so her nose was mostly on the ground.

Seeing a dog run around free makes me happy. I also like that she comes back to check in on us. Vanna loves to cuddle.

She will also pretend she’s just sniffing your leg, but actually end up licking it. Feels so weird…

Hmm, I’m pretty sure the back of my head shouldn’t be throbbing AND I shouldn’t be able to feel the pulse on the side of my head. Plus I can’t even walk without whining. It’s going to be an interesting day.
