We were supposed to eat at the M Buffet but the line was 2 hours, so we just had to go to Hash House A Go Go:
Yes. I ordered a huge salad. But actually Joe and I shared the Fried Sage Chicken Benedict:
Here we are at the Mix (using restaurant.com) at the Hotel next to Mandalay Bay.
The breads come come butter and peanut butter (which is butter with peanuts in it. My brothers and Tammy weren’t into it, but Joe and I liked it):
I ordered the seabass:
And Joe got the Curry Lobster:
I made a big mistake. I should have just gotten what Joe ordered, too. It came with SO MUCH lobster and was soooo delicious with the coconutiness. So amazing, peoples.
What else was amazing? Chocolate souffle:
It came with pistachio gelato and was incredibly sweet, but yummy. I love the gooey center with the crispy, sugar crusted sides. I would have ordered a coffee, but it was like 5 bucks or something. No, thanks.
We went to Da Lat off the strip to eat some good pho. Everyone ordered something kind of different (our server was extremely knowledgeable about the dishes). I ordered one made with PEANUTS:
The soup was rich and thick. I’ve never seen this anywhere else, so I’m glad I tried it here. Joe said it was too much peanut… but if you like peanuts, GET IT.
Here we are at the Wynn Buffet. I am dressed with the ultimate buffet shirt:
Yikes. $45 for the holiday menu stuff, but it’s all good. I ate a buttload… of produce (everyone else got meat, haha):
^this plate was predominantly butternut squash and beets. There was also fish, unagi, some bulgar salad stuff, and pumpkin raviolis.
More butternut squash, more beets salad, roasted cauliflower, kobe meatloaf, lobster ravioli, and salad.
My favorite dessert every is bread pudding… so I got plenty of that. Also the creme brulee, candied yams, and more butternut squash (I got the squash and yams before deciding that it was time for desserts).
Then when we got to L.A./Orange County area…
We ate at Thai Nakorn after service on Sunday morning. This is a coconut chicken soup (super good if you like soups like Tom Yum soup):
Their Pad See Ew is super yummy!
There was steak stuff, clams (basil sauce stuff was sooooo good), and pineapple fried rice.
And we definitely had to get Joe Latti, even though it was raining like crazy (it was BOGO for rainy day special!)
We’re supposed to go to the gym today, so that will be good… gotta work off some of these awesome eats 🙂
Hope you’re enjoying your holiday and have a great NYE!
