Late Night Workout

Short post today!

And, hey. What is awesome about having lovely roommates who have nothing to do (except write papers and do lots of readings) at 9:00 p.m. on a Tuesday night?

We set up some mats in the room and got our sweat on!

First thing we did? P90X’s AbRipperX! Hahaha, they never did that one before, so I knew they would kinda sorta hate it because it’s pretty tough the first time around.

Then I led a short little glimpse at my Pilates lower body workout. Ten short minutes of “OMG, IT BURNS!” and “THIS HURTS SO MUCH, AHHHH!”

Don’t worry. They were told several times that as long as things aren’t tearing, the burn is fine. We all had a full ten minutes to experience the complicated love-hate relationship of THE BURN.

It was so much fun that we decided to make this a regular thing. At least twice per week. They also enjoyed the Pilates and were down with me teaching them some more (or they at least enjoyed how they felt afterwards).


If we continue to do this, we’ll all have sculpted bodies for summer! Then again, we’re all aware of how we need to eat or not eat to get sculpted… but that’s a different topic for a different day :P.


I think that speedwork on the treadmill made my legs nasty sore. That means it’s going to be a nice upper body workout with the pull-up bar today! I might just go for a super short and easy run OR a bit of time on the spin bike.
