Hello, and greetings from SoCal.
We are in Anaheim, staying at Joe’s uncle’s place.
This morning, I was SUPER ANTSY and wanted to work out, even though I was super sick on the drive over here. My ears were plugged, but HURT… and my sinuses were so inflamed. Bleh.
So the best thing to do when I’m sick (all in the head, no fever or body aches) is to just do an easy treadmill run.
7 miles, 58 minutes, kind of a wonderful slow and sweaty run.
Esther was pretty
grossed out impressed with the amount of sweat I had after just my ten minute warm up.
The boys played basketball and lifted weights. I did some core work with the stability ball after the treadmilling. GOOD LORD, it felt so good to sweat! Sitting in the car for 5.5 hours until the early morning and eating a bUNCH of snacks (Casa de Fruita’s fault, haha)… my body was ready to GOOOOO.
OMG! I actually had a very eventful day yesterday (even though I probably should have been resting since I was sick… that’s PROBABLY why my sickness got way worse. Thank goodness for NyQuil).
So Esther, Josh and I went hiking to some trails behind Saratoga:
I made them run up Nob Hill twice:
And Maisie’s Peak once:
And we ate Aqui afterwards 😀
I got the special for the day (Chicken limon?)
In the afternoon, I met up with some beautiful mamas (and got to see their growing kids!)
Urijah and Eliyah will be turning one in just over a month! I can’t believe how much time has gone by!
And for dinner, we tried a new place called Veggie Grill:
I got the Baja Fiesta salad and it was actually quite delicious (it had things like quinoa, tortilla strips, chicken, mangoes, cucumbers, and more!).
After dinner, we had some Starbucks:
And let the kids do some exercise. (LOOK AT ELIYAH TRYING TO LEAP!).
What a blessed Friday! It was totally worth getting more sick, haha. I would do that any day!
