On Good Friday, my mom and I went out to find something nice for me to wear for Easter Sunday.
The possible ones:
But in the end, went with a nice top instead of a dress since I already have an Easter dress (from high school) that I wear every other year.
Mama and I walked around some more in Downtown Los Gatos:
We had such a nice time enjoying the weather and talking lots :).
On Saturday night, there was a birthday dinner celebration with some church peoples for my brother, Alex, and Zack! For big groups, Buca di Beppo is pretty much the best!
Cheesy garlic bread to start (BTW, these are extremely delicious. Only one piece will not do):
And something similar to a waldorf salad:
And Frutti di mare, baked rigatoni:
And a chicken and sausage cream sauce penne pasta:
Happy birthday, you guys!
And also, the cake was a strawberry ice cream cake from Coldstone Creamery. Super yummy!
After dinner, we were going to go bowling, but decided to just get some beers at Rock Bottom Brewery, right across the street. The boys had beers and I ended up getting the Ultimate Arnold Palmer (Grey Goose, iced tea, and lemonade). It was really good!
And the best part of the night was that we were playing Monopoly Deal while having drinks:
It was my first time playing and I’m glad I was teamed with Joe. We won one of the games, which I don’t think I would have if I played by myself.
Anywho, hope the guys enjoyed the birthday celebrations!
Easter Sunday service was wonderful!
And our pastor was the maestro/conductor as we all sang a special song together:
It was also lovely to see everyone dressed up:
And there was a lot of good food brought for the Easter Lunch potluck:
Even the Easter bunny made an appearance!
And while everyone played some volleyball, I was watching these two boys run around:
For dinner, Joe, my older brother, and I went to our favorite banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) place for dinner:
^They scoop out the bread on the inside so they can pack it even more with meat and pickled veggies. SO GOOD!
Oh, and che, of course (a Vietnamese dessert drink with jellies, fruit, beans, etc). This was a picture form a different time. The one Joe and I shared last night had taro, beans, and jellies:
I ran a mile today in 5:39. It was a tough mile, but a great one to run on this glorious April Fools Day.
And I came up to SF to go to class and realized the school is still closed today because it’s Cesar Chavez day. WHOOPS.
No one is here, haha:
Now I have no choice but to actually do schoolwork. Darns it.
Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!
