Hi! Right now, Joe, Michael, and I are on day two of our Reno trip.
On Monday night though? I got to play with the little ones, who are about 13 months old now.
Urijah and Eliyah are so fun to play with and watch. Babies at play= cutest thing every!
They took out all the toys and showed them to me, shared with each other, and definitely got to expend a bunch of energy walking around and playing for a few hours!
It was really nice for me to hang out with these hot mamas!
On Tuesday, Michael drove us out to Reno! First off? A big fat lunch:
We got a beer flight thing which came with 12 beers. We each got 4 different kinds. When it comes to beer, it makes me waaaay too full. I got to drink two of my 4-ounce beers. Michael got to help me out a lot, haha.
We split the “mini” tacos, which were actually not that mini.
I actually felt pretty full after one taco and some beer. o__O How odd.
My entree was a yummy salad that had spinach, apples, goat cheese, chicken, raspberries, grapes, candied cashews, and some kind of sweetish vinaigrette.
After lunch, we checked into the room!
And then I headed out first to the gym while the guys did some law work crap. (I would NEVER go to law school. First, I just don’t have the discipline… or the brains… for it. Second, a vacation is not even a real vacation or summer break because of all the work you have to do while one “break”. It’s craziness).
At the gym, I did 20 minutes on a stair-stepper, 40 minutes on the treadmill, and 30 minutes on the elliptical. I was originally going to do just 10 on the elliptical as a cooldown, but the guys came in around then, so I stayed a bit longer.
Post workout flexin’:
[Okay, okay, I still have a ways to go before my abs really show… but progress is progress… RIGHT?]
[On another note, I find that wearing giant running shorts are a lot sexier than those skimpy ones. RIGHT?]
After-shower with a nice summer dress:
Turns out… I must have done something wrong. After a bit of chillin’, I started to feel incredibly nauseous and my body started to ache. “Oh, crap. I’m getting the flu… in the middle of our vacation!”
Luckily, we went to the market and I bought some ginger ale and felt WAY better! Ordered room service for the first time, too (at like 10 pm):
We are staying at the Peppermill in Reno. That salad is their Seafood Melange salad. It has real crab meat, and five jumbo prawns. Good Lord! I was so impressed by it!
This morning, Michael and I went to the gym and I got to lead him through my all-time favorite core routine!
was dying thoroughly enjoyed learning a new ab routine!
I did some shoulder/arm burnouts with five-pounders. I’m still not trying to lift heavy for now… if I bulk up too much (I tend to put on muscle really fast), it kind of makes running long distances tough.
Speaking of RUNNING, today is National Running Day!
Though I would love to celebrate this awesome day by running in the great outdoors, I am in Reno… and there is kind of a lot of car exhaust and smokers on these streets. I’ll run on the treadmill today and save the outdoor run to another time when I get back home.
Today is a good day to take advantage of some discounts!
If you like the Rock’n’Roll Marathon/Half Marathon Series, check out their races going on nation-wide (and even internationally!). You can save $20 if you register for one by the end of today!
After my treadmill run, I will hang out at the pool and try to get my pale belly a nicer golden color. Also, my camera is waterproof so I’m going to take underwater pictures, HEHEHE!
What kind of run are you having today?
Have you been miraculously cured by ginger ale before?
