NCUMC had our Christmas party at a member’s house. We had so much food… it was awesome!
And I may or may not have gone overboard with the food and the desserts:
(those cuties were only there to make myself feel better… and to make sure I take up some space on the plate with non sugar-coma-inducing sweets).
This morning, had an awesome run with Linh and Amy:
When we were doing our 3-mile warm-up, it was a little darker than this:
Meaning we got to catch a beautiful sunrise as our run progressed:
If you need help waking up at 5:30am, then just make a date to run with some people. It will get you out of bed, knowing that there are people waiting for you and expecting you to be there!
And if the 10+ miles of running won’t get you out of bed, perhaps knowing that there is a nice BREAKFAST will get you up!
Thanks Linh and Amy! You guys are such a blessing to everyone they meet, and a delight to be around. I always appreciate their love of running, their generosity, and positive attitudes 😀
Okay, I went home to play with Vanna for a bit, and then went back out to the gym with Joe! He did his workout while I hit the stairmaster. Wow, I was surprised how easy it was. I was going back and forth between level 10 and 12 (switch ever three to four minutes) for 35 minutes… and dare I say.. it was EASY??
I also did 15 minutes of core-stability ball exercises… which were soooooo not easy.
Any stability ball lovers out there? (or Bosu, or those little squishy pod thingies)?
What gets you up and out of bed for an early morning workout?
